DIY silicone candle molds, made for people who sell candles
Detail is the product. A candle mold that loses its edges after twenty pours costs you more than the
mould did. We produce wholesale silicone candle molds with a finished inner surface, controlled wall
thickness and a release geometry tested on real wax before the batch ships.
The shapes that actually sell
We keep masters for the styles below and cut new ones from your drawing. Stock shapes are cheaper because
the tooling already exists — that is the main reason wholesale buyers start there.
Pillar & taper
Straight, twisted and ribbed columns from 8 cm to 25 cm. Wall thickness sized so tall pours do not slump.
Sphere & bubble
Round, faceted and stacked-bubble clusters. Seam placed on a hidden edge to keep the sphere clean.
Floral & relief
Roses, peonies, ginkgo and lattice panels. Deeper relief needs a softer grade so petals release intact.
Food & dessert shapes
Ice cream, cake slice, fruit and drink molds for dessert candles. Food-grade silicone, dual use as bakeware.
Multi-cavity trays
6, 12 or 24 cavities for tealights, wax melts and sample sets. Registration keys keep cavities aligned.
Your own design
Send a STEP file or a printed master. We adjust draft and wall thickness, then quote tooling and unit price.
What is written on every candle mold drawing
| Property | Typical value for candle molds | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Hardness | Shore A 15 – 30 | Softer grades release petals and bubbles; firmer grades hold tall pillar walls |
| Material | Platinum-cure silicone | Low shrinkage, low odour, stable colour |
| Wax contact temperature | 70 – 90 °C in normal pours | Grade selected with headroom above your pour temperature |
| Inner surface | Gloss or matte | Gloss moulds give a polished candle; matte hides small scratches |
| Wall thickness | 3 – 6 mm, thicker for tall shapes | Thin walls deform; thick walls slow demoulding |
| Cavity layout | 1, 2, 4, 6, 12, 24 | Quoted per cavity count and mould size |
| Colour | Any, matched to swatch | Colour is cosmetic only and does not affect release |
Values above describe the range we normally produce. The final figure is confirmed on your drawing before tooling.
How ordering works
- Stock shapes: from {{MOQ}} pcs per style, mixed colours allowed within one carton
- New shape: tooling quoted separately, then unit price breaks at 100 / 500 / 1,000 pcs
- Sample: one mould shipped in 7 days for you to cast and check
- Production: 15 days after sample approval
- Branding: your logo debossed on the mould base or on the retail box
Tell us the wax you use (soy, paraffin, beeswax blend) and the pour temperature. Release behaviour
changes with the wax, and we would rather adjust the grade now than hear about torn petals later.
What we test before packing
- Wall thickness measured at four points per mould
- One test pour per batch, photographed and kept on file
- Demoulding checked by hand for drag marks and air traps
- Seam and flash trimmed; no release agent residue left on the surface
- Batch number printed on the carton for traceability
Ask for the test-pour photos with your shipment; they are part of the order record, not a favour.
Candle mold questions
What is the minimum order for wholesale candle molds?
{{MOQ}} pieces per style on stock shapes. New shapes start with tooling plus a first run — most buyers begin at 50–100 pieces to test the design.
How many pours will one mold last?
Soy and paraffin at 70–90 °C are gentle on platinum-cure silicone; with normal handling most moulds run into the hundreds of pours. Hotter pours, aggressive cleaning or twisting during demould shorten that, which is why we specify the demould direction on the drawing.
Can the mold be used for resin or soap as well?
Yes, if the grade is compatible with the chemicals involved. Resin generates heat as it cures, so tell us the resin type and we will select a grade with enough temperature headroom.
Do you print our logo on the mold?
Yes — debossed into the mould base, or printed on the retail box. Logo artwork needs to be vector, and the placement is confirmed on the sample.
Can you copy a mold I bought elsewhere?
If you own the design, send the mould or the cast part and we will reverse-engineer it. We will not copy a third party’s protected design on request alone.
